STILLWATER SOCCER CLUB HOSTS REGISTRATION DAY FESIVITIES

STILLWATER, Okla. – April 1, 2017 – On May 6, Stillwater Soccer Club will be kicking off the spring season with Registration Day, a registration event hosted at Babcock Park.

From 1-4 p.m., SSC will be accepting seasonal registration forms and fees for new and existing members. The SSC Board of Directors will be serving hot dogs and burgers for lunch, followed by interest meetings for those interested in volunteering or coaching, a scrimmage for coaches and players, and an afternoon of field games. There will also be an opportunity to order personalized SSC backpacks, decals, t-shirts and other gear.

Edwin Sutherland, president of Stillwater Soccer Club, has said that the hope for the Registration Day event is to be an incentive for families and volunteers involved in SSC to come together and celebrate the sport they love.

“Our club is like a family,” Sutherland said. “I think the idea of coming together to enjoy this family we’ve built is the best way to start the season.”

Youth soccer gives kids a chance to get active in a fun and competitive environment. SSC’s philosophy encompasses the sportsmanship, personal development, and teamwork aspects of the sport and encourages kids of all ages and skill levels to get involved.

“We love what we get to do and we want to invite Stillwater into that,” Sutherland said. “We hope Registration Day will encourage the support of the community and urge more kids to come out and get involved.
